Cookie Policy

This page transparently describes the use of cookies and browser storage (localStorage / sessionStorage) on signallock.app. It complies with the EU ePrivacy Directive (2002/58/EC), GDPR, and the Republic of Türkiye’s KVKK Law No. 6698.

1. Summary

signallock.app sets no cookies and writes nothing to browser storage. There are no marketing, tracking, or analytics cookies — and no functional ones either. Consequently no processing on this site requires a consent banner under the ePrivacy Directive or GDPR.

A cookie is a small text file saved to your browser by websites you visit. The browser automatically returns the cookie to the site on every page request. localStorage and sessionStorage are similar in-browser storage areas, but unlike cookies they are not automatically sent to the server.

3. Storage We Use: None

The site is entirely static HTML files. There is no session management, user account, cart, or preference-remembering feature — nothing that would require storage.

Language selection is not stored either: each language is published at its own address — signallock.app/ for Turkish, signallock.app/en/ for English. Choosing a language changes the address, so there is no preference to keep in your browser. You can bookmark or share the link; the language travels in the link itself.

Earlier versions stored the language preference in a localStorage key named signallock.lang. That key is no longer used and is never read by the site. If an old entry remains in your browser, you can safely delete it.

4. Third-Party Cookies

The site embeds no third-party content — no analytics, ads, font CDN, video embeds, or social widgets. Every asset, typeface included, is served from our own domain, and the Content Security Policy blocks requests to external domains at the browser level.

The one exception is the hosting infrastructure:

Cloudflare (hosting, CDN, and security)

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may set short-lived security cookies such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance for bot protection and security. These are not set by us, cannot be read by us, and their contents are not transmitted to us; they are considered strictly necessary for the secure operation of the service.

5. Marketing, Advertising or Analytics

No marketing, advertising, or analytics tooling is used. There is no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, Hotjar, Mixpanel, Plausible, or any comparable tracker. This is a deliberate part of the product’s privacy-first philosophy.

6. SignalLock Desktop Application

The SignalLock desktop app is not a web browser; it does not use cookies. The app only stores its settings and the identifier of your selected trusted device in the operating system’s standard user files. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Managing Your Preferences

Because our site writes nothing to your browser, there is nothing to clear. You can still reach your browser’s general cookie controls here:

8. Policy Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. Changes are published on this page and reflected in a new “Last updated” date. If a tracking or analytics tool is ever introduced, the policy will be updated and, where required, a consent banner will be shown.
